If you're looking for more than just a room – a spacious, modern home with incredible amenities, significant personal space, AND a friendly, social atmosphere – then this might be the perfect spot for you! I'm renting out an amazing room in my beautiful, nearly new 5-bedroom house in the desirable Nolen Farm community (Gastonia, 28056). I'm hoping to find someone social and relatable, not just a roommate who pays bills and disappears. I enjoy regular conversation and see the person I live with as a friend; I'm an open and honest person, and hope you are too!

Your Incredible Space:

Largest Secondary Bedroom: You get the largest non-primary bedroom in the house, a massive 16'8" x 14'2" – plenty of space for all your things! The room is unfurnished, ready for your personal touch.

Upgraded Closet: The bedroom closet features a nice IKEA closet organization setup to help you maximize storage.

Semi-Private Bathroom: The bathroom located right next to your room will be primarily for your use, offering a great deal of privacy.

Utilize the Expansive Upstairs Loft! While not private to your room, there's a huge upstairs loft (18'7" x 12'7") that all upstairs bedrooms connect to (including the home gym, media room, and your room). This large, currently unfurnished space is available for you to furnish and use as you see fit! Think of it as an extra lounge, study area, or hobby space that you can take the lead on decorating, provided the general decor and design are tasteful and appropriate for the home.

Blazing Fast Internet: Stay connected with 1Gbps fiber internet wired directly into your room, with WiFi throughout the house. A dedicated port/switch is available for hard-wired connections if you're a gamer or need a stable line. Gaming and smart devices are absolutely welcome on the network. (Need even more speed? We can discuss upgrading your room to 5Gbps for an additional fee).

About the House & Shared Living:

Modern & Bright: Built in 2023, everything is fresh and contemporary. The house is large (around 4,000 sq ft), so there's room to breathe.

Clean & Well-Maintained: I like to keep the house clean and well-maintained. Robot vacuums/moppers run daily both upstairs and downstairs to keep things tidy (and can include your room if you'd like!). There's also a Dyson vacuum available if you prefer or need to manually vacuum. Messes and damages can happen accidentally, and that's okay – just please be honest and let me know when things occur.

Chores & Responsibilities: I'll handle the majority of general household chores. Generally, I just ask that you keep your personal spaces (bedroom, bathroom) clean, tidy up after yourself in common areas, and are overall a generally clean and respectful person.

Shared Kitchen - "Mi Casa Es Su Casa" Style: The kitchen (including dishes, silverware, ample food/storage space) is a common area, and my stuff is your stuff. Let's cook some meals!
Entertainment & Fun:

Massive Movie Collection: I collect movies and have a digitized library of over 800 films available on our in-home streaming platform when you're at the house (not available remotely).

Theater Room & Pool Table: Accessible with some discussion and mutual boundaries. Movie nights or a friendly game of pool, anyone?

Home Gym: One of the rooms is set up as a lightly equipped home gym (connected to the loft area), and you're welcome to use it.

BBQ Grill: Out back and ready for cookouts (again, with a few easy boundaries).

Parking: Plenty of parking available in the driveway or on the street. If you'd prefer a dedicated spot in the 3-car garage, that's available for an additional fee.

Guests: Guests (including overnight) are welcome. We'll just need to communicate and respect a few simple boundaries.

About Me & What I'm Looking For:

As mentioned, I'm looking for someone who appreciates a clean, respectful, and friendly living environment, and ideally, someone interested in building a genuine friendship. I'm a gamer (currently consoles, but love to play!) and am definitely open to playing games together if that's your thing too.

A couple of important things to note:

I have two wonderful cats. One of them is a diabetic and receives insulin twice a day, so comfort with (or at least an understanding of) this routine is important.

I'm looking for someone who is social, easy-going, and values open communication.

The Details:

Rent: $1800 per month, and this includes all utilities (electric, gas, water, trash, and the 1Gbps internet). The price would only increase if you opt for garage parking or an internet speed upgrade for your room.

Renters Insurance: For your protection and peace of mind, renters insurance will be required.
